Joyce Bergman, 93, of Corning, Iowa, a beloved mother, wife, aunt, daughter, and grandmother, passed away on December 26, 2025, at Corning Specialty Care in Corning, Iowa, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 20, 1932, in rural Corning, Iowa. Joyce graduated from Corning High School with the Class of 1950 and went on to have a fulfilling career as a Teacher's Aide for the Corning Public Schools where she worked for many years.

In her personal life, Joyce was united in marriage to John Allen Bergman on August 27, 1950, at the Corning United Methodist Church. Together, they raised four sons: The late John Paul Bergman (Janet), James Wesley Bergman (Colleen), Howard Vincent Bergman (Regina) and Joseph Allen Bergman (Marilyn).

Joyce's family also includes her sister, Arlene Sanford of Blair, Nebraska; daughter-in-law, Shirley Bergman of Jesup, Iowa; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Allen Bergman, on April 20, 2011, her son, John Paul Bergman, two sisters, Dorothy Haley and Charlotte Walter-Thomas, a brother-in-law, James Sanford, and her parents, LeRoy Vincent and Edith (Seybold) Brown.
