Letha Marie Harlow

Letha Marie Harlow, the daughter of Charles Harold and Effie Alice (Templeton) Wilkinson, was born March 14, 1921 in Henderson, Iowa. Letha entered into eternal rest on Friday August 15, 2014 at the age of 93 years and 5 months. She attended country school in the Villisca and Nodaway area through the eighth grade and attended High School in Nodaway.
On June 24, 1939 Letha was united in marriage to Paul Arthur Harlow in Corning. Letha and Paul relocated to the Omaha, Nebraska area where they lived for nearly 30 years. Letha was a homemaker and housewife for her husband and their eight children. Letha eventually was employed outside of the home, where she worked 15 years for the Brandeis Cafeteria in Bellevue, Nebraska. Paul preceded Letha in death in 1988 and Letha returned to Brooks in 1993. The final year of her life, Letha resided in the Omaha Nursing and Rehab Center.
Letha enjoyed Embroidering and crocheting and was also a Boy Scout leader when her kids were young. She was a member of the Brooks United Methodist Church and the Brooks United Methodist Women.
Left to cherish Letha’s memory are her daughters: Donna J. (Herb)Large, Hannibal, MO; Patricia J. (James) Blankman, Omaha, NE; M. Nadine Haskin, Beemer, NE; her sons: Paul R. ( Romona) Harlow, Omaha, NE; Rolland D. (Kay) Harlow, Bellevue, NE; Kenneth L. Harlow Friend, Kay, Bellevue, NE; her 19 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and 18 great-great grandchildren; her brothers: Roylan ( Virginia) Wilkinson, Redding, CA; Paul Wilkinson, Otoe, NE; Robert (Dorothy) Wilkinson, Granbury, TX; sister-in-law: Lois Wilkinson, Carbon, IA; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Letha was preceded in death by her parents; husband in 1988; sons: Stephen Michael Harlow; Son-in-law: Charles “squeak” Haskin; daughter-in-law: Patty Cole-Harlow; brothers: Ernest Harold, Jr.; and sister-in-law: Helen Wilkinson.
