Linda Bolinger, 77 of Kent, Iowa entered eternal rest on Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa. No services are planned at this time. Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center is in charge of the arrangements.
Linda Kay Bolinger was born November 15, 1947 in Kent, Iowa the daughter of Howard Walter and Edythe Mae (Walton) Mickey. Linda was raised in Kent, Iowa. She also lived in various towns in southwest Iowa, before returning to Kent in 1996.
Linda was first married to John Edward Still in November of 1965 and the couple were blessed with 3 children: Wannita, Edith and Shirley. On November 6, 1982, Linda was united in marriage to Robert “Doc” Bolinger and together welcomed 7 children. Linda was a Homemaker, raising her children and caring for her husband and family. She did work at various places in the area for a short time, but being home with her family is where she wanted to be.
Preceding Linda in death were both of her husbands; a daughter, Shirley JoAnn Davis; 2 great-granddaughters: Hayden Rose and Brailee Armstrong; her parents; her older sister, Shirley Johannes; and 2 brothers-in-law: Sonny Brammer and Boyd Johannes.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Wannita Olson of Corning, Iowa; Edith Davis of Creston, Iowa and Misty (Kevin) DeBoer also of Creston; her sons, Shane (Cindy) Bolinger of Lake Havasu, Arizona and Dustin and Cody Bolinger both of Kalispell, Montana; a son-in-law, Jerry Davis of Prescott, Iowa; 26 grandchildren; 73 great-grandchildren; her sister, Patty Brammer of Kent, Iowa; a special friend and caregiver, Jeannette Morrow of Lenox, Iowa; and by several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
