Luann Lea Riepe

June 17, 1956 — March 24, 2017

LuAnn Lea Riepe, the daughter of Robert Henry Stoll, Jr. and Arlene Lucille (Zellweger) Stoll, was born in Greenfield, Iowa on June 17, 1956. As a child, LuAnn grew up in Ames, Iowa where she attended public school. The family returned to southwest Iowa and LuAnn graduated from Orient-Macksburg High School with the Class of 1974. LuAnn went on to Modeling School and received her Certificate of Completion from the Barbizon School of Modeling in Des Moines, Iowa. She lived in Remson, Iowa, Storm Lake, Iowa and Orient during her life, the last six years were spent in Greenfield.
LuAnn worked at various places, doing various jobs. She worked in Creston for Kmart, the Garden Center in Wal Mart and at Bunn-O-Matic for a while. She worked in Orient for the Orient Tavern and The Stables Café. She served as the Recreation Director in Orient (for the “Slab”) and designed one of the “Welcome To Orient” signs. LuAnn’s declining health made it impossible for her to work in recent years.
LuAnn had a love for the Fine Arts and was a creative person. Among her hobbies were drawing characatures and cake decorating for family birthdays and weddings. She was a good singer and loved to sing Karaoke any time it was available. She was a seamstress, having sewn many items for her children. LuAnn was also an animal lover and cared for several dogs and cats and even owned a pair of pet Parakeets. Recently, she had been attending the Cornerstone Church in Greenfield. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Preceding LuAnn in death were her parents, Robert and Arlene Stoll.
Left to cherish her memory are her four children: Greg (Tamra) Sheeder of Orient, Claires (Matt) Beaman of Lorimor, Trish (Travis) Sevier of Orient and Paul Clayton of Red Oak, IA; four grandchildren: Heather (Zakk) Dixon, Jordan Shimer, Jenna Shimer and Brenna Shimer; two great-grandchildren: Star Dixon and Jace Dixon. LuAnn is also survived by two sisters: Lynn Vandevender of Waukee, Iowa and Laura (Terry) Siders of Creston; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and her friends.
