Marilyn James, the daughter of Opal (Reed) and Clyde Franklin Miller was born July 27, 1934 in Kent, Iowa. Marilyn entered eternal rest on September 22, 2006 at her home at the age of seventy-two years, one month and twenty-seven days.
Marilyn graduated from Lenox High School with the class of 1952. She had previously worked as a secretary for the pathology department at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines for about 4 years; Greeley, Colorado as a secretary and Lenox Care Center as the Assistant Activities Director. Marilyn began working at the Lenox Time Table in 2003.
On May 17, 1974, Marilyn was united in marriage to Keith Raymond James at Lenox, Iowa. Marilyn was a member of the Lenox Christian Church and American Legion Auxiliary. Over the years Marilyn had donated 125 pints of blood.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Keith in 1993; great-grandson, Dominic Zeibig.
Marilyns survivors include her daughter, Marlene (Ronald) Darling, Clearfield, Iowa; two grandchildren, Stephen Zeibig, Lenox, Iowa and Katherine Zeibig, Clarinda, Iowa; three great-grandchildren; brother, Butch (Jane) Miller, Lenox, Iowa.
