Mary "Frankie" Crozier

Mary “Frankie” Crozier, 67, of rural Corning, Iowa passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Funeral services will be 11 AM, Tuesday, September 15, 2026 at Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center, Corning, Iowa. Minister Tim McNeal will officiate the service. A visitation will be held 3-7 PM, Monday, September 14th with family receiving friends from 5-7 PM. Mary Frances Fisher was born in Greeley, Colorado on May 6, 1959, the daughter of George Henry Fisher, II and Edna Louis (Schum) Fisher. Mary became lovingly known as “Frankie” and this nickname stayed with her the remainder of her life. As a young girl, Mary grew up with 9 siblings and the family lived several years in Greeley, Colorado and Reno, Nevada, before relocating to Iowa in 1973 where Mary attended school in Anita, Iowa. On November 26, 1977, Mary was united in marriage to Galen Wayne Crozier in Griswold, Iowa. Mary and Galen were blessed with 3 children: Jessica, Brent and Brook. The family moved from Atlantic, Iowa to their current residence north of Carbon, in 1989.

Mary loved being a wife, mother and grandmother, her family was her pride and joy. She always supported her children and grandchildren in everything they did and loved spending time with her family. Mary worked hard and was a dedicated employee at CHI Mercy Hospital in Corning for 27 years in the Environmental Services Department. She loved spending time with patients and their families and did everything she could to make their hospital stay a little bit easier. Mary also cleaned homes, including the homes of several older people in the community that she loved helping and taking care of. Mary never met a stranger and she always put others needs before her own.

Mary is survived by her husband, Galen Crozier of Corning, Iowa; her children: Jessica (Marc) Rivers of Granger, Iowa; Brent (Amber) Crozier of Corning, Iowa and Brook (Jennifer) Crozier also of Corning, Iowa; 4 grandchildren: Brianna Crozier (significant other, Dalton Calkins); Brody Crozier; Caleb Crozier and Carson Crozier; her brothers and sisters: George Fisher, III of Las Vegas, Nevada; Bill (Linda) Fisher of Greeley, Colorado; Michele (Duane) Wolfe of Eaton, Colorado; Thomas Fisher, Mary Fisher, Kathy Hansen and Karen (Jon) Steffensen all of Anita, Iowa; and Elizabeth (Tim) McNeal of Troy, Missouri; her aunt, Sister Agnes Anne of Nerinx, Kentucky; and an uncle, Fred (Peggy) Schum of Corvallis, Oregon; 2 brothers-in-law: Norman Crozier of Council Bluffs, Iowa; Dennis Hoffman of Omaha, Nebraska; and 3 sisters-in-law: Barbara Pilcher of Ankeny, Iowa; Roberta Schrader of Tigard, Oregon; and Raymona Crozier of Persia, Iowa; along with many loved nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, George Fisher, II and Edna Fisher-Wade; step-father, George Wade; her in-laws: Ralph and Virginia Crozier; a sister, Patricia Fisher; 2 sisters-in-law: Marty Fisher and Carol Fisher; and a brother-in-law, Randy Hansen; by her uncle, William Schum; and 4 aunts: Luella Shanahan, Patricia Ward, Janet Rodacy and Eleanor Jean Clark-Begley; 2 sisters-in-law: Carol Kay and Colleen Hoffman; 3 brothers-in-law: Greg Crozier; Ron Pilcher; and Mark Schrader; and 2 nephews: Brian Crozier and Adam Schrader.
