Nancy Ann Ytzen

Nancy Ann Ytzen, 64, of Urbandale, Iowa passed on to Heaven July 27, 2024 at her brother’s home in Creston, Iowa. A Memorial Service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, August 5, 2024 at Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center with Fr. Patrick Amedeka Officiating. Memorial contributions may be directed to the family to be used for a charity of the family’s choice.

Nancy was born in Chicago on September 29, 1959, the youngest of 4 children born to Robert and Anna (Cox) Ytzen. The family came to Creston in August of 1965 when Nancy was 7, after her dad’s foundry moved here. Nancy went to St. Malachy’s School grades 1st through 8th. She graduated from Creston High School in 1977 and received a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alabama in 1982.

Nancy was currently employed by Wells Fargo and has been residing with her brothers John and Don in Creston, since October of 2023, due to her house in Urbandale being remodeled and still under construction. Nancy loved to do crafting and she was an expert seamstress, making numerous costumes for nieces, nephews and her brother John.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna Mae Ytzen; and sister-in-law, Mary Jo Ytzen. Nancy is survived by her 3 brothers: John, Jim and Don Ytzen; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
