Peggy Sue (Blazek) Reed stayed true to herself all the way through to when she started her next adventure on Wednesday, November 12, 2025. Born on June 25, 1958, in Creston, Iowa, to her biological father Leroy Robert Blazek and her mother Wanda Jean Victor, Peggy was lovingly raised by her dad Wayne Fredrick Victor and Wanda in Prescott, Iowa.

Peggy cherished her life with her husband, Robert “Bob” Clayton Reed, celebrating 50 years of marriage on April 4, 1975. Her greatest joy was caring for her family—her son Clayton Reed (wife Peggy Reed), her daughter Amber Reed (Jon Mammenga, who is an important member of our family), and her beloved fur family of kitties: Tank, Panda, Charlie, and Finley. Peggy enjoyed spending time with her siblings: Phyllis (Mr. L), Robert (Marvel), as well as many other family members.

She delighted in the comfort and care she gave to those around her. She made everyone feel at home, whether by having your favorite snack ready or dancing with Bob whenever the mood struck.

Peggy lived life on her own terms and embraced every opportunity for joy. Per Peggy’s wishes, an intimate family gathering will be held later. Instead of flowers, please make your memorial contributions payable to the “Peggy Reed Memorial Fund”, c/o Robert Reed, PO Box 206, Stanton, Iowa. Your donations will be gifted to two places close to her heart, which will be established at a future date.

Peggy was cremated and no public services are planned. An inurnment will be in the Bohemian National Cemetery, Prescott, Iowa at a later date.
