Richard “Woo” Woosley, 70 of Creston, Iowa passed away Wednesday, October 29, 2025 at the Clarke County Public Hospital in Osceola, Iowa. Mr. Rick Titus will officiate the Memorial service on Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center in Creston at 3:00 PM. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Richard Woosley Memorial Fund.

Richard Glenn Woosley is the son of Teddy Lee and Vera Maxine (Morris) Woosley, born September 10, 1955 in Creston, Iowa. Richard was raised and educated in Creston where he would spend most of his life. Richard was married a short time and later divorced. “Woo” as he was known by his friends, worked as a Certified Welder in Omaha, Nebraska for about 10 years. Woo could fix anything and loved tinkering with Go-Karts, bicycles and small engines.

Richard is survived by a daughter, Erica (Gabriel) Strong of Lake Stevens, Washington; 2 brothers: Randall Woosley and Mitch Gaiser, both of Creston, Iowa; 2 sisters: Lora Gaiser of Des Moines, Iowa and Jennifer (Ken) Morris of Marion, Iowa; Woo is also survived by his special friend, Peggy Kingery of Creston, Iowa and by several nieces, nephews, other extended family and many friends. Preceding Richard in death were his parents; a brother, Ron “R.W.” Woosley; and a nephew, Ryan Lee Woosley.
