Ronald Ritnour

Ron Ritnour, the son of Floyd and Delilah Ritnour, was born on August 14, 1944 in Nodaway, Iowa. He passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026 at his home at the age of 81.

Ron spent much of his life doing what he loved most—caring for the family farm. He was a dedicated farmer for many years and then went on to being an over the road trucker. Ron took great pride in his semi-truck and enjoyed keeping it spotless. He cherished the time he spent in Montana and the times spent with his companion Kathy and her children.

Ron had a soft spot for animals, and very much enjoyed taking care of the squirrels and neighborhood cats no matter what the weather. They had food and water year round.

Survivors include his children, Traci VanEaton and Jodi Ritnour; his sister, Janice Shepard; grandchildren, Shane, Buck, Brett, Jordan, and Reggie; great-grandchildren, Grady, Owen, Layla, Tate, Becca, and Walker; as well as special friends, John and Karma Green.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Delilah Ritnour; brother, Russell Ritnour; and companion, Kathy.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 2, at Stringtown Cemetery, with Mr. Larry Johnson officiating. Pearson Family Funeral Service & Cremation Center of Corning assisted the family with arrangements.
