Sandra Kay "Sandy" Kinser, a devoted homemaker and loving mother, peacefully passed away at her home in Villisca, Iowa, on September 24, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on February 16, 1940, to Glen William and Eula Irene (Moritz) Guss at home in the Hacklebarney community, North of Villisca, Sandy grew up in a nurturing environment that shaped the strong foundation of her life.
Sandy graduated from Villisca High School in the Class of 1958. Just a few months later, on September 7, 1958, she united in marriage to her beloved husband, Gail Arlen Kinser. Together, they welcomed two daughters, Gaillyn and Lori, who were the joy of their lives and a blessing to their union.
As a homemaker, Sandy dedicated herself wholeheartedly to raising her family. She found happiness in the simple things in life, including quilting and crafting, tending to her beautiful flower garden, and exploring local yard sales and auctions. Her keen eye for collecting various items brought her much joy and satisfaction.
Sandy is survived by her two daughters, Gaillyn Garey of Creston, Iowa, and Lori Kinser of Houston, Texas. She also cherished her three grandsons, Eligah (Krisann) Garey, Israel (Danelle) Garey, and Dakota (Brittany) Garey, along with her seven great-grandchildren: Paysen, Bristol, Tinley, Oliver, Waverly, Oaklee, and Wylder. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Perdue of Griswold, Iowa; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She has been reunited in peace with her husband, Gail Kinser, who passed away in 2019, as well as her parents and seven siblings: Ronald Guss, Merwin Guss, Roma Ingersoll, Shirley Fidler, Janet Echternach, Wayne Guss, and June Balog.
Sandy will be remembered for her warm spirit, her unwavering love for her family, and the countless ways she touched the lives of those around her. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and the memories they shared together.
As per Sandy's wishes, no services are planned at this time. The family requests no memorials.
