Tracy Ellen Fredrickson, the daughter of Norma Mardale (Siddens) and Richard Everett Konkler, was born in Santa Cruz, California on August 25, 1953. At a young age, Tracy’s family relocated to Union County, Iowa where she would spend most of her life.
After earning her GED, Tracy graduated from Grandview University in Des Moines, Iowa with a Bachelor’s degree and continued her education at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, receiving her Master’s degree.
Tracy was a talented artist and song writer. She played several different instruments including the piano and flute. Tracy’s artistic talents were brought to life through her acrylic paintings and charcoal drawings. Over time, she has painted hundreds of pieces. Tracy was passionate in life and in everything she did. She had a heart of gold and people were drawn to her free spirit and willingness to always lend a helping hand whenever she could.
Those left behind to cherish her memory are her sons: Andy Konkler (Mycale Downey), Creston, IA; Matt Fredrickson ( Andrea Knuth), Creston, IA, and Brady (Sonya) Richert, Creston, IA; daughter: Teki (Ryan) Pierce, Orient, IA; 12 grandchildren; and life-long friends: Andreas Nelson, Thayer, IA; Kevin King, Creston, IA and Dan Richert, Bethany, MO; two brothers: Tony (Bobbi) Konkler, Carroll, IA and Kirby Konkler, IA ; four sisters: Leslie (Ray) Ferris, Mississippi, Lorely Burgduff, Arizona, Carolyn Burgduff, Bend, OR and Joey Kugler, Nebraska; other relatives and many friends.
Tracy was preceded in death by her brother: Kelly Konkler; sister: Darcie Konkler, in infancy; biological father: Richard Konkler; mother: Norma Konkler; and step-father: Bill Burgduff.
