Victor Mcdonald

Victor Rodney McDonald was born September 16, 1959, the son of Arthur G. and Wanda L. (Warden) McDonald in Rolla, Missouri. He passed away on Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston, Iowa, at the age of 64.

Victor received his GED and attended college to earn his LPN degree. He married Debra Lynn McClain on September 25, 1982 in Dakota City, Nebraska. A son, Jason, and daughter, Christina, were born to this union. The couple divorced in 2005.

Victor worked as a LPN at a nursing home in Ponca, Nebraska for 18 years. In his father’s final years, he became his primary caregiver. Following his father’s death, Victor moved to Creston to be closer to his family.

Victor loved fishing, trapping and singing karaoke.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Arthur McDonald, Jr.

Victor is survived by his son, Jason McDonald of Creston; 2 daughters: Christina McDonald of Creston and Cheyenne (Devin) Leach of Le Mars, Iowa; 4 grandchildren: Jaydan Pettigrew, Ethan McDonald, Pheonyx Julius, and Blayne Seibold; brother, Joe (Joyce) McDonald of Sioux City, Iowa; sisters: Leasa McDonald-Vargas of Rolla, Missouri and Ginny (Ken) McDonald-Gibson of Sioux City, Iowa; Ex-wife: Debra McDonald of Creston; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
