Willis Marvin Butrick, Jr. of Plattsmouth, NE formerly of Corning, IA entered into eternal rest January 18, 2015 at the Nebraska Medicine Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE. at the age of 63 years 1 month and 23 days. Willis “Tom” was born in Red Oak, Iowa to Willis Marvin and Goldie Ann (Farris) Butrick on November 26, 1951. He graduated from Corning High School with the Class of 1970. He also graduated from Stewarts School of Cosmetology. He married Loretta K. Boham and born to this union was a son, Scott. They later divorced.
Tom was a passionate caretaker of the elderly. He performed many rolls while employed at the Huntington Park Care Center in Papillion and a care center in Omaha including cook, cosmetologist, activities director and as a CNA. Prior to his work at the care centers he was employed at the Iowa School for the Deaf in Glenwood, IA and worked for Wonder Bread.
Family was a big part of his life especially his nieces and nephews which he kept close tabs on. Tom loved going to the casino and enjoyed cooking. He was baptized at the Corning United Methodist Church.
Tom is survived by a son; Scott Bradley(Sealess) Butrick of Lincoln, NE; his sister Judy (Terry) Shepherd of LaVista, NE; granddaughter: Alissa Butrick of Florida; niece: Christy (Steve) Lee of Lavista, NE; nephews: Jason Hoyt of Omaha, NE and Jerad (Marcie) Hoyt of Conrad, IA; great nieces and nephews; Kalyn Shepherd, Nick Hoyt, Tyler Lee, Samantha Hoyt, Vance Hoyt and Hailei Hoyt; his best friend, Mark Nikolich and a host of other relatives and friends.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and many aunts and uncles.
