Dr. Patricia Tice left a message on November 18, 2018:
Dear Debbie & Randy, Please accept my deepest sympathy for the death of your beloved Mother, Lavonne. We had such wonderful times growing up with her in Corning. She was a gracious lady, filled with love and hope for all. More than once, she shook her head at some of our high school antics. But she always had a smile. May she rest in peace. Love, Dr. Patricia Tice, CHS Class of 1971.

Our prayers are with you. We lived across the street from Lavonne for many years. She was a kind and caring neighbor and dusted our son, Scott, off after more than one bicycle wreck.. She and Dan spent many hours together at Hy-vee.

So sorry to hear, She lived a long life! Dad (Duane) was a year older and he talked about her a lot. Fun times at family dinners, Aunt Neoma Mothershead's or Uncle Milo's! Always thought Aunt Pearl looked so much like Grandma Stella! Prayers!

Jean Sullivan left a message on November 16, 2018:
To Debbie and Randy and to all of Lavone's family, My condolences to you on the passing of your Mom. I remember her working as a cashier at the Hy-Vee for many years, especially when we were in junior high and high school in the late 60s and early 70s. She was always so nice. In later years, when I would return to Corning to visit family, I would ask about you when shopping at the grocery store. She was always happy to bring me up to date on your lives. May she rest in peace. Jean Sullivan, Class of '71.
