So sorry to hear of Jerry passing. He was a regular at Kay’s Cafe for breakfast. Alway a cheerful hello and have a nice day. I never did see him without that happy smile. He will be missed by many in our little community. Rest until we all meet again.

Dear Grandpa Jerry, I remember the photo of me you carried in your wallet, The one you’d boast about with friends and family. I remember the stories you’d share with me from days way back when, The good ole’ days. I remember singing songs with you and grandma on the way to church, and I remember the jokes you told us that I never quite understood. Summers were spent with you when I was a little girl. I’d pretend as a waitress and served you food, As you and Grandma pretended to enjoy it. When my car needed fixed, You helped fix it. When I showed you how my house was getting repaired, You told me, “It was coming along great.” At my graduation, You congratulated me and said, “Grandma would’ve been very proud.” Thank you for being there for me all the years throughout, Even when your hearing started to run out. You were a funny guy with a grin that never left his face, And I just want you to know that you will always have a special place. We love you grandpa And will always think of you Wondering what it is like in heaven And how much everyone there gets to now enjoy you. With much love forever and always, Your granddaughter and great-grand children, -Jacqui Barnard (Tyler and Wyatt Barnard)
