Alexi Groumoutis left a message on September 8, 2020:
As I came across Madelyn's obituary it was so unexpected. She just refilled my prescriptions about a week and a half ago like she has done for a couple of decades. She always greeted me by my name, but apologized for not remembering how to spell my last name. I'd laugh and say, "Madelyn, you have hundreds of people who come through here, I don't expect you to remember how to spell my last name." She was always a pleasure to talk to. During one of my visits she expressed just how much she missed her husband, that life wasn't the same after he passed. I'm sad I won't get to see her anymore, but so happy they have reunited. Prayers to her family. She will be missed.

A friend just alerted me to the loss of my dear sweet Madelyn. I loved her so much and will miss her beyond words. I had just seen her at work the latter part of the week. I hadn’t seen the post on Pearson’s and I don’t know your family. I met her at Wal mart when I moved here from Texas. She was “instantly” my friend as if we’d known one another forever. I’m so very sorry for your loss of Madelyn.

Richard Swank left a message on September 8, 2020:
Madelyn taught me so much when I worked in the pharmacy at Wal-Mart. I was so green working retail for the first time. She took the time to teach me the tricks of the trade and helped me to grow and learn the pharmacy technician part of the pharmacy business. We didn't have the fancy computer system when I first started. It was all input by hand into the computer. We took phone orders from the Doctors and you hand wrote out the prescriptions as they came in. It was something that she took the time to teach you. And as the computer system took over, it became easier to do but you still had to be able to input and check things correctly. She took a lot of pride teaching us "younger" kids the trade and loved her job. She was always there when you needed advice.
