Darlene and Wendi, I am sorry to hear of Rich’s passing. I was 13 or 14 when Rich and Darlene opened “The Clown”, and my first job was babysitting Mark and Wendi. Later, I worked at The Clown along with my mother, Twila Shepherd. Darlene, I know you and my Mom were good friends, I have many good memories at your home. Both you and Rich were very nice to me.

Wes Ray left a message on April 14, 2020:
Darlene & Wendi, I wanted to offer my condolences on the passing of Richard. My first memory of him was the summer of 1972 at The Clown. My cousins came back to visit from Colorado and we went there several times for ice cream. Later my dad and I used to come into the Assessor's office and my dad always enjoyed chatting with Richard. He and Darlene were always friendly and helpful to us. May precious memories of him bring you peace in the coming days. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God bless, Wes Ray
Planning ahead is prudent. Call us now.

Darlene,Wendi and family, I am so sorry of hearing of Rich’s passing. Though he was my boss (along with Darlene) for many years at the Clown, I also considered you both my friends. My memory of Rich is with that big smile and laugh he always had. Oh those were the days! That friendship condinued until current, and he always would greet me with that big smile and we could probably chat and chat and chat. I pray for peace for you, Darlene and Wendi, he is with our Father now and I’m sure he’s hanging around heaven reminiscing and laughing with alot of people.

My heart goes out to Darlene, Wendi, and family. Rich left his family with countless memories to treasure. I hope all those wonderful memories help ease your pain. I know I will always remember Rich and Darlene from the years I spent working for them at The Clown while I was in High School. We sure had some great times and lots of laughs! Rest in peace, Rich.
