Carla Rae Downey Beavers

Family will receive friends from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Carlas name.
Carla Rae Downey Beavers, the daughter of Raymond and Effie (Simmons) Downey, was born on August 4, 1950, at Newton, Iowa. Carla entered eternal rest from complications from lung problems at her home in Creston, Iowa, on April 26, 2008, at the age of fifty-seven years.
Carla graduated from Creston High School and lived in Creston most of her life. On December 15, 1974, she married Gene “Harold” Beavers. She was a full-time wife and mother, a career she loved. Carla studied Psychology, English and Writing at Southwestern Community College.
Left to cherish Carlaa memory are her husband: Gene “Harold” Beavers, Creston; her children: Bradey Larkin, Brett Larkin, Kristi (husband Ryan) Vicker, Mycale Downey (partner Andy), and Curtis Downey, all of Creston, Iowa; Twelve Grandchildren: Jory, Richie, Dylan, Keyawna, Randy, Mikie, Alyssa, Zamiel, TJ, Jesse, Bryce and Connor; her brothers: Ron Brammer, Sr., Conway; Randy Downey, Cherokee; and Kevin Downey, Creston; and her sisters: Judy Pritchard, Creston; Janet Johnson, Texas; Vickie Moore, Des Moines; and Sharon Downey, Carlisle.
Preceding Carla in death were her Parents; Son: Michael Beavers; Brother: Rex McFee; and Special Friends: Curtis Alumbaugh and Denny Hansen.
